Suprise! I'm in Holland to visit my family. I booked the flight a month before and left on Friday the 13th, and luckily I haven't really had any bad luck..
I left really early in the morning on Friday and arrived in Holland on Saturday morning. The flight went pretty well, but my seats really sucked, but I got here on time :)
I actually didn't really plan on going home anymore, but when I saw in August that the prices of the flights where still the same as 2 month before I decided to go anyway. Which turned out to be a good decision for mutliple reasons. One of them being that my uncle is in the hospital, I won't mention too many details, but it doesn't look good and this might have been the last time I saw him, so I'm glad I was here.
But there are also some more fun reasons, the day I arrived my mom's boyfriend celebrated his 60th birthday and now I was actually able to be there. Even though I had a huge jetlag, because I arrived that morning, he sort of knew I was coming, but he wasn´t sure, so it kind of came like a suprise for him.
One of the other things I did here was looking at a school. I finally figured out what I want to do and it´s really different then the original plan. I will be going back home in July to start school in September in Vlissingen. This means I will have to find my own place because it will take me 2,5 hours each way to travel there from my home. I´m going to do a double degree in Nursing and Midwifery and unfortunately I couldn´t do this in another country. For that reason I want to try to do some of my internships in other countries, but I figured the right degree was more important than the location, so maybe after I graduate I will end up somewhere completely different. I´m actually really excited to start, but first I will have 10 months left in San Francisco :)

It's really strange to be home, it seems like I never left its kind of weird, and now I only have 3 more days left before going back to my home away from home. Its weird being away from the babies but it is also weird thinking about leaving here again. I hope I won't get homesick when I get back, but I'm sure I will be fine, I'm so lucky I have met some great friends at the other side of the ocean from all over the world and I'm excited to see them again.
From now on I really want to post more regularly, because I know I haven't been very up to date with my posts.
What are your plans for the future?
