Happy Halloween :)

As you might know it was Halloween yesterday and because we don'r really celebrate it in Holland, this was a new experience. I just wanted to let you know what I did for Halloween this year.

I matched my costume with my host family. The babies where Batman and Robin, my host mom Cat woman and my host dad was the Riddler. I decided to be Poison Ivy, but I didn't have enough leaves, I ordered some but they didn't come in on time. But I really liked the wig, it was hard to find a costume that wasn't too short, it seems like here it's the less clothes the better for Halloween. This one was the only one that wasn't too revealing, and I kind of liked it. What do you think?

Decoration in people's garage

I first had to work and when my host parents came home we changed the babies and went trick or threating. Well we walk around a few blocks, because the babies are obviously too young, but it was fun to see the decorated houses. There was also a best costume contest, so we wanted to do that with the babies, but there where to many kids and they almost got pushed off the stage, so we decided to leave.

Then we went to a Halloween party, I have been to the same one last year. It was more fun for me this year, because there was another Au Pair I know, so I had someone to talk too. They had a lot of really amazing food, the whole house was decorated and there where a lot of people. People in that area of the city really went all out and a lot of people decorated their houses and gardens.
