My week in pictures #26


In 'my week in pictures' I will let you have a look into what's going on in my life. Every week I will try not to forget to take pictures and show you what's happening. My phone goes everywhere with me, so most of the pictures will be taken with my IPhone. If you want to see more pictures out of my daily life, you can also follow me on Instagram. Let's have a look at what happened this week.



Today's post is going to be a bit longer than usual. I had some problems uploading last week, so this is worth two weeks of pics. I paid extra attention to actually taking pictures every day so I didn't want to waste them.



Monday 29 September
Today I had my theoretical exam for my drivers license and I passed it in one go! I was really happy because I was a bit scared I wouldn't pass. I was supposed to have a driving lesson before, but it got canceled because the car of the instructor broke down. Afterwards I went to get a new passport and when I walked out the door there was this group of huge geese walking around my bike. I'm scared of birds so I waited till they walked off, and got the hell out of there. As a reward for myself of passing the test I got some salmon and when I got home I made myself a nice lunch.



Tuesday 30 September
I decided it would be fun to do a nail art, as I didn't had the time to do it for a while. I think it turned out pretty good, but it took really long to do. Luckily it also stayed on for almost a week so at least it was worth it. I also had to babysit and ate a San Francisco cookie, and not to forget it was national sibling day here in Holland.



Wednesday 1 October
Again I was babysitting today, and it was really kinda cold so I needed a lot of tea to get trough the day. When the kids were playing I was getting some inspiration on the ikea website and came across a really nice bed. It said: 'new lower price' and it was an astounding difference of $1.... I though that was quite funny haha. I also took a progress picture of working out and eating healthier, but didn't feel like there was a lot of difference.


Thursday 2 October
Until I put the pictures of the past three months together, I didn't realize there was actually quite some progress. I could have been better because I wasn't always good with my workouts and food, but at least there still is a difference. This definitely gave me some extra motivation to do better this months and see even a bigger difference.



Friday 3 October
In the morning I had to babysit again. I also got a message that I could come pick up my passport, so I decided to do that right away. I also needed to pick something up at my dads house and still needed to go running. So I decided I was gonna go running and pick it up on my way back. I ran 22 minutes straight, 3.65km and my average pace per km was 6'01. So I was really happy and dying after wards haha. In the evening we had pizza for dinner, sometimes you just need to enjoy it ;)




Saturday 4 October
I had this set of hair rollers laying in the back of my closet and decided to use them. It actually turned out pretty good and stayed nice for about 2 days. I also went to the Kruidvat (drugstore) and bought some new lipsticks that will be up soon. My sister had a volleyball completion at the end of the day so we went to watch the game. This was a good week for our family, I got into Uni and passed my theoretical exam, and my sister got a room and is moving out soon. My mom and her boyfriend decided to take us out for dinner, so we had a late, but nice dinner. On Sunday my sister also turned 19, so I guess it was a little bit of a birthday dinner too. And I also missed my California babies :(


Sunday 5 October
My little sister turned 19 today! In the morning I had a Skype call with a family in Brisbane that might want me as their Au pair. It went pretty well and we are Skyping again soon. Then all our family came over and we celebrated my sisters and my moms birthday, which is on Thursday. It was a really nice day and it was good to see everyone again.


Monday 6 October
My day started with babysitting, which was pretty good. Later I had to make a few phone calls and scheduled my first 6 driving lessons, so hopefully I will be able to get license soon. I also made a workout schedule for the week and I had to go running today. I was in my gear walked outside and it was raining, so I decided to hula hoop first. I did that for 20 minutes and then it was dry outside so I went running. I was pretty much dying but got my average pace per om under 6 minutes, 5'53. So that was exciting, next time I'm going to focus more on distance because I'm going to run 7.5km with a friend in December and so far I can only do 3.65 haha.

Tuesday 7 October
I applied for some more jobs and some things came along right away. I'm going to have an interview with a lady on Friday, so hopefully I will have some more work next week. In the morning I did 40 minutes of blogilates videos, and it was a good thing I did it before work because I would have been to tired after. I was babysitting from 12.00 till 21.00 today and it was so long, but I can definitely use the extra money and the kids are great. Another day of babysitting tomorrow and then I will have Thursday off :)



Wednesday 8 October
Today was another long day of babysitting, from 8.00 till 19.00. I had one of the kids all day and the other one went to school in the morning. The weather really sucked today, and when we had to pick up the oldest one from school it was raining. And this is Holland, so I had to pick him up by bike. When he got out of school he decided he wanted to go on a playdate at his friends house, so we went there for nothing. After we got home we were soaked, so we had lunch and we had to pic the oldest one up at 15.00. I had to cook for the kids and the mom came home at 18.45, luckily it was dry when I went home. After that I had dinner and spend the rest of my night watching Criminal Minds.


Thursday 9 October
Happy birthday to my mom! We didn't really dio anything for her birthday because we already celebrated on Sunday, and she also had to work. We did have a 'Bossche Bol' but that was about it. I had the whole day off, so I slept in and did my workout for the day. In the evening we went to have a look at my sister new room and moved some last stuff.



Friday 10 October
In the morning I had to babysit and I found this cute little snail next to the window. I only had to watch one of the kids while the mom was at home, so it was pretty easy. After I got home I had a nap and cleaned my room. It kind of weird how I like taking naps these days if I have the chance, I guess I just love sleep haha! In the late afternoon this lady came to my house to interview me for some future jobs and it went really well. After she left I had a really long shower, because I had to prep for a photo shoot the next day. I already washed my hair and did a hair mask on Thursday, so today I decided I needed a face mask, and I felt like a smurf.

Saturday 11 October
I got up at 7.00, not something I normally do on Saturday, but I had a photo shoot and wanted to squeeze in a workout before. I was picked up by two photographers and went to a modeling event. There were 4 make up artists, 21 models and 11 photographers and you could just pick with whom you wanted to shoot. I ended up doing three different shoots, they also had some dresses you could wear, so I went for a different look in each shoot. I didn't like the way my make up looked that much,but I just removed some of it so it looked a bit better. My hair was also done and it was a hot mess trying to get it out haha. We left from the shoot around 16.15, because it didn't stop raining and a lot of it was outside, but I think I got some nice photos. After I got home I had a shower and then I was too tired to do anything else.

Sunday 12 October
No getting up early today, I slept in and then went running right after I got out of bed. It was a slow run, but I managed to keep going for the time I had to. I also had a new playlist so that helped a lot as well. After I got back I had some lunch, and a shower. The rest of the day I pretty much spend my day in my pajama. I watched 'PS: I love you' in bed, and I love that movie so much, it had been a while since the last time I've seen it, so it was about time. The rest of the day I just spend hanging around the house.

I'm happy I managed to do my workouts of this week, hopefully it will go as well next week.
