My life in Australia, how the love began :) #2

This week it is time for #2 of this series of articles about my life in Australia. This time it will be mainly about where and with who I lived. I hope you enjoy part 2...

As I said in part #1 I ended up living with Danni, but she was not the only one in the house. In total there where 5 other people living there with me. We all had our own room, and shared the bathroom, living room and kitchen. I had the smallest room, which was fine with me, I also had to pay the least amount of rent haha. We also had a pool, which was nice. The thing I really liked about this living environment, is that we all hang out together and became the 'Indi' family. There was usually one roommate that wasn't too involved, so the main Indi Family consisted of 5 people; Greta, Angela, Danni, Ethan and me.

This are some pictures of the house, as you can see my room was pretty empty. That's the downside about moving across the world, you have to fit everything in one suitcase. In the end my mom send me some boxes as well, so I had some more of my stuff, but in the beginning it was pretty empty. The whole house was furnished, so I didn't have to buy furniture, which saved me a lot of money.

First Uni Club Party with the Indi Fam

I will explain a little bit more about the Indi Family, but will save the details for the next post, because else this will get way too long. When I moved in there was one girl from Japan that was already living there before the rest moved in. She basically stayed in her room all day and didn't really talk to us, so I don't really know that much about her. The original Indi Family is basically everyone who moved in around the same time. When I moved in Greta, Angela and Ethan where already there, and they took me clubbing the first night I was there haha, let's say that was interesting for someone from a small town in Holland that never really went out. Danni moved in a little later, because the guy in her room still needed to sort things out or something.

The picture you see was the first party we went to at the Uni club, it was a traffic light party. Basically it meant you had to wear red when you were taken, green when you were available and orange if you didn't know. It was a lot of fun and we made some great memories.

Next time I will talk about the best memories with the Indi Fam :)

Do you have room mates and if so, do you get along?
