My week in pictures #11

In 'my week in pictures' I will let you have a look into my life on a weekly basis. Most of these pictures will be taken with my phone, because I bring that everywhere.

Monday was a normal day with the babies. In the evening I went babysitting, but I had the wrong address, which meant I was late... Luckily it wasn´t my fault, so they didn´t get mad at me. They had this lizard, that was staring at me the whole night, it kind of creeped me out!

On Tuesday I was working late again, the last time in the next few weeks. The Victoria Secret Fashion Show was on TV that night, so I planned to watch it, but after a few minutes Vivan woke up.... He was pretty sick, so I kinda missed the rest of the show, I guess I have to look it back sometime. I did manage to do a hair and face mask, so that was nice ;)

Wednesday Vivan had an appointment at the doctor, because he had a really weird cough and my hostparents thought it might be whooping cough (kinkhoest, in Dutch), which could be really dangerous because they didn't have their shots for that yet. Luckily it wasn't that but just a virus, but we had to give him an inhaler, no fun. But Aidan was definitely supporting him as you can see on the picture, that was taken on the way home. After work I went to the library to scan and print some things for my application to the university in Australia. And I got some books to study for the TOEFL test. 

Thursday I went babysitting again, and I tried to study for the TOEFL test, which didn't really work haha.

New outfit

Friday I went to Old Navy to buy some jeans because the one I wore most of the time had some huge holes in them, and the other pair I had was way to big. In the dressing room, I had a nice suprise, the size I took was a size too big, so I tried a size smaller. Now I'm a size 10, instead of the size 14 I was when I came here, so I guess the working out did pay off :) I also bought some new shirts and a cardigan. 

Saturday was the big day and I had my TOEFL test. Its a test to see what you English level is, and I needed it to apply for the university in Australia. It was really weird... You sat in a room with 15 other people and you all started the test with the same category. But some people took longer, others shorter. The annoying part was that for example some people were already doing their speaking part, while you were still reading, which was really distracting. Also the speaking part was really awkward, you where just talking in a microphone and not to a person, which made it a little bit weird for me. I hope I got a high enough score, if not I'm just going to take another test. In the afternoon I did some babysitting and in the evening I did my nails and went to sleep, because it had been a long day.

Letter to Santa (especially number 1 ;)

 

Sunday I slept in till 12, and I hadn't planned anything till the evening. I just cleaned up in my room a little bit, recorded a video and did my hair and make up. In the evening we were going out for dinner for Sandra's birthday. We went to the cheesecake factory and it was great. It's on the top level of Macy's and you have a view of the ice skating rank and the Christmas tree, which is beautiful. After dinner we wrote some letters to Santa and took some pictures. It was an amazing night!
