Nails of the month #November2013

Today I will show you my nails of the month November, I love doing my nails and try to do them at least once a week. This one will be a bit longer than normally, because I started this in the last week of October, so it has an extra week, let me know if you have any cute nail art ideas for me to try out!

Sinful Shine 1244 Nouveau Purple, Sinful Colors 930 I Miss You

I decided to go for some glitter, normally I don't use glitter that often, but I was in the right mood this time and really liked the result. It also stayed on quite long, I used the Sensationail topcoat over the normal nail polish and really loved it, it makes it nice and smooth and it just looks better.

Forever 21 Nail Stickers

This was a big mistake. I bought these nail stickers at Forever 21 because I thought they where really cute, and I wanted to try them out. It was a disaster, they where the wrong size, so you could still see my nail at some fingers. It was all wrinkly, even when I put it on right and I got rid of it all, 10 minutes later it would be wrinkly again, I would not buy these a second time.

Sinful Colors 313 Pink Forever, Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots 85 Pretty in Polka

Another interesting topcoat I wanted to try out. It worked really well, the polka dots came out when I put on the first layer, so I didn't have to put 3 layers on the be able to see them and I really liked the effect of them. I forgot to take a picture, so this was after a few days, and you can see one of them chipped..

I think this was the only real nail art I did this month because I was really busy, I wasn't very happy with the result, but now I look back at it, it isn't that bad. Here I also used the Sensationail as a topcoat, because I didn't want it to chip, I wore this when I went to LA.

Sinful Colors 1326 Get it On

A nice red color, that is actually matte, but I used the Sensationail topcoat over it and this was the effect. I really love the way the top coat makes it look a lot more professional and shiny.

Sinful Colors 953 Unicorn

The weather was horrible and it didn't stop raining, so I decided to go for a more happy color, a sun and a smiley face to get in a better mood. I just used a sharpie to draw on the sun and face, because I didn't feel like putting in to much effort. I guess it worked out because the next day it stopped raining.

NYC 142 Preppy Pink,  NYC 105 Starry Silver Glitter

I didn't really like this top coat, because the glitter comes out very uneven. This was after three layers and you would either have no blue glitter, or they would all stick together. So I wasn't very happy with this result, it took a lot of time and I didn't like the look of it.

Sinful Colors 1326 Get it On, Sinful Colors 923 Queen of Beauty

I wore this look on Thanksgiving and after I put it on I wasn't so sure about the glitter. But the next day I actually really liked it, when you moved your hand it would really shimmer and it gave a nice and festive look to my nails. I would definitely try this with a different base coat as well.
