Nails of the month #February2014

Today I will show you my nails of the month February, I love doing my nails and try to do them at least once a week. I did one of these posts before and then I didn't really do anything interesting with my nails for a while, but I'm going to post this every month from now on. If you have any ideas for inspiration, or tutorials let me know in the comments and I would love to try it out.


This was a month with quite a lot of nail art, and I was really in the mood to spend some more time on my nails. I used glitter, different patterns and off course Valentine's day was another good reason to try out a new nail art.

I felt like using some glitter, but not my whole hand, so I decided to just put glitter on one hand and keep the rest more basic.

One of my friends posted a picture on Instagram about a pink nailart design, so I wanted to try it too. I had a look on youtube and decided to use this one. I think it looks kind of like a Victoria Secret inspired nail art, what do you think?

Offcourse there was Valentine's day and even though I didn't really have any plans, I still wanted to use the theme on my nails.

I found a picture of this on Facebook and decided to try it out, it isn't as perfect as I would have liked it to be (look at the pinky finger), but I'm not a professional and I'll just keep practicing.

I went to Las Vegas with a friend and matched my nail art with one of the dresses I was going to wear (you will be able to see the dress in tomorrows post).

Martyna had this on her nails when we went to Vegas, but with black instead of pink. I decided to try it out and used my gel coat in a different way this time. Not a great success because by the end of the day everything came off.

After all those crazy patterns I felt like something more basic and went for this nice pink color. On the picture it looks more nude than it actually is, it looks more pink in real life.

I use a gel topcoat over all my nail polishes. I just polish them the way I normally do but just replace a normal topcoat for gel and it lasts a bit longer, but I feel like it doesn't damage my nails as much as when I use a gel as a top and base coat.
